Job responsibilities
The Inventory Control Clerk is a key position within our manufacturing plants and supports our production team leads as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards by fully embracing the Company’s RCE philosophy. This position is exposed to multiple refrigerated areas within production. The Inventory Control Clerk’s role is to support the receiving associates with achieving their tasks accurately and efficiently.

What you will do:
- Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes.
- Support inventory management, completing accurate daily inventory cycle counts of raw and finished product. Take inventory with a hand held computer.
- Daily warehouse checks of product ensuring quality and reporting any discrepancies. Research any irregularities as they arise and communicate to Warehouse management on any issues.
- Enter inventory into the system using DSI Scanner. Ensure all items in Warehouse have barcodes.
- Oversees racking and lift maintenance operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You will work from 5 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. We'll also look to you to be flexible in your schedule as necessary.

Desired qualifications:
What you will need:
- Ability to read, write and speak English; strong math skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment (the production floor typically is about 34°).
- Ability to frequently bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- GED/high school diploma; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Forklift certified.
Related success metrics:
- Performance efficiencies (fill rate, labor & yield), rework, OEE, production specification compliance, downtime communication.
- FO, KPI, quality response, consumer complaints.
- TCIR, LWCR.
- Engagement survey and RCE phase assessment results.

Physical work environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements (i.e., sample collection – 2 grams per minute on each sample taken). The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
