Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Supply Chain Finance Manager, you will join the Finance Group and partner with your supervisor to manage AgOps finance operations. As the Supply Chain Finance Analyst, you will serve as a strategic business partner, cost champion and key contributor to the AgOps and Procurement leadership teams. You will have the opportunity to add to your skills and experience through the following key responsibilities.
Business Partnership
- Offer insights, choices and alternatives to help the Supply Chain and Procurement functions deliver or exceed their financial commitments.
- Develop and maintain performance reporting and decision support
- Provide guidance on inefficiency areas (loss analysis) and recommendations
- Support the monthly financial close in partnership with the Supply Chain, Procurement and Accounting teams
- Evaluate and maintain internal controls to protect pricing and inventory accuracy
- Document policies and procedures and educate colleagues
Budgeting
- Support the budget build of detailed annual budgets in concert with standards and processes determined by Corporate Finance.
- Develop standard costs in concert with the Supply Chain, Procurement and Innovation and Development teams.
Forecasting
- Create periodic estimates that incorporate known and perceived headwinds and tailwinds.
- Provide insights into how demand changes, supplier costing, sourcing, yields and buffer strategies affect the P&L
- Identify and validate cost reduction initiatives including modeling and gross-to-net actualization for CapEx-enabled and continuous improvement projects
It will be your mission to work from an initial forecast and make adjustments based on models, information from crop managers, changes from customers, weather, etc. to maintain a clear understanding of the produce supply chain problems and develop creative solutions to maximize or minimize deviations. Your efforts will have a direct impact on the business.

Desired qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree, ideally in Agriculture with a concentration in Finance, or another relevant focus Quick question for you - click here
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, including experience working in an environment with a physical supply chain; we may also consider new graduates with a combination of finance and agriculture and internship experience

- Ability to understand the supply chain process from sourcing-to-shelf, develop solutions and implement action plans
- Strong computer skills and experience with:
- JDE or similar ERP system software
- Tableau or similar reporting database software
- Strong familiarity with Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, intermediate formulas, etc.)
