Job responsibilities
Reporting to the Plant Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for the management and leadership of Production and Plant Safety in the Irwindale plant. This position directs and coordinates activities of food processing plant by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
What you will Do:
- Assist in planning, organizing, directing and running day-to-day operations
- Weekly reporting of plant KPIs
- Assist coordinating the daily activities of the production and operations team
- Assist in achieving goals set for the production facility
- Assist the Site Director in facility projects
- Develop processes to increase productivity and enhance performance
- Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
- Promote all safety/quality policies and procedures while supporting their continuous improvement efforts
- Evaluate equipment and facility upgrades to support continuous improvement
- Foster a well-trained and motivated team
- Assist in hiring and training production team members
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Desired qualifications:
What you will Need:
- Four (4) year technical degree; an MBA or graduate-level education is preferred
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of broad technical experience of which at least 5 to 7 years should be in manufacturing operation and/or manufacturing/process engineering

- Minimum ten (10) years operations management
- The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate up and down the organization
- A proven track record of results with a bias for action
- A passion for learning and a craving to work in a fun culture
