Job responsibilities

The Packaging Development Engineer will be a key member of Bonduelle Fresh America, responsible for the development and optimization of all packaging materials. This will include developing innovative packaging formats, in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams, from concept through implementation, optimization of existing packaging materials to drive value, and developing and implementing consistent processes and management of packaging material revisions. Quick question for you - click here

The individual in this role will be required to effectively interface cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, etc., as well as with customer and packaging material and equipment vendors.

It will be necessary to partner with packaging materials vendors to understand their capabilities, challenge their processes for improvement and leverage their capabilities to deliver continuous improvement and innovative solutions.

Specific packaging initiatives may include: This role will oversee packaging projects in multiple plants across the country and will require up to 25% travel, once it is safe to travel. For the most part, you will work from home, coming into the plant as needed.
