Job responsibilities

Under the direction of the Plant Environmental Health & Safety Manager, the EH&S Coordinator will ensure compliance with all applicable EH&S policies and resolve EH&S deficiencies and/or issues. S/he will have responsibility for safety and environmental administration, injury case management, ergonomic injury prevention, technical safety advice and site-wide safety training at all levels of the organization. Quick question for you - click here

This is an ideal ground-level role for someone who is interested in building a career in EH&S. You will support, and be an essential member of, an experienced 3-person EH&S team who in turn will provide strong mentorship and training. You will have the opportunity to learn beyond your job description through cross-training and heavy involvement in injury prevention, workers comp and environmental protection. This is a Monday - Friday, day shift position for someone who is also able to work beyond those hours as department needs and/or incidents demand.

Physical Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 50 or more pounds. The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
