Job responsibilities
The Frontline Coordinator 1 works within our manufacturing plant and supports our overall production team as they drive production to the highest safety, quality and efficiency standards. This position requires work exposure in multiple areas in our refrigerated production environment. It oversees the associates and processes in the value-added production plants. The Frontline Coordinator must be able to provide yield information, measure productivity of efficiency to capture line capacity, and complete the daily checklist.

What You Will Do:
- Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, SQF, HACCP, Sanitation guidelines and processes.
- Carry out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; plan, assign, delegate, address complaints, resolve problems, and co-lead pre-shift huddles. Quick question for you - click here
- Train and oversee new and existing associates (on-the-job training, re-training, job shadowing, etc.).
- Coordinate with supervisor on associates' rest and meal periods, complying with federal, state, and local agencies, while not impacting production, and manage and report attendance.
- Monitor, manage and control visual checks (defect, FO's, size, color, quality, waste, yields, spillage) and monitor equipment and open/close work orders to correct any problems.
- Responsible for Label Verification Form and complete daily required documentation (Pre-Op., label verification, etc.).
- Oversee product rotation/ Inventory Levels and FIFO.
- Retrieve, understand and adhere to production schedule in order to adjust for accurate run time (frequently).
- Communicate with top leadership reporting any issues which could potentially affect the operations. (Reporting the availability of product, product/line changes, quality defects, excess or shortage of product, absences, associate issues, and mechanical issues, etc.).
- Manage Bagged Salad Efficiency (production rates & BPM)
- Continuous improvement of lines, identify gaps and inefficiencies in staffing, provide on-the-spot coaching and manage and report planned and unplanned downtime.
- Understand DSI scanner functions to allocate inventory to various production work orders and maintain an uninterrupted flow of product.
- Enter data into production management systems-RPDMS and JDE.
- Calculate yields, modified OEE and KPI standards, and identify and determine appropriate usage of raw materials.
- Knowledge and understanding of how to maintain a safe work environment, maintain a clean work area, work safely around moving equipment and conveyors in wet environment, identify and report issues to top leadership and report all accidents and safety concerns to Department Leadership immediately.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to complete required documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- GED/High School Diploma.
- Knowledge of GMP's and Safety Guidelines.
- Comply with SQF/USDA Regulatory Programs.
- Knowledge of HACCP and Sanitation guidelines and processes.
- Knowledge of rest and meal breaks (state laws).
- Proficient time management skills, ability to problem solve, assess and prioritize, and ability to lead a diverse workforce.
- Ability to influence, communicate effectively and manage associates across all levels of the organization. A team player, able to work on a team.
- Comprehension of basic math and proficient computer skills/software knowledge (RPDMS).
- Willingness to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand plant KPI's (production, quality & safety).
- Ability to be crossed trained and multitask in multiple positions.
- Reading, writing, speaking ability in English.

Physical Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to perform repetitive movements and have the ability to frequently move, push, or carry items up to 50lbs. Have the ability to ascend/descend on stairs/ladder for repairs and ability to position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
